The official website for the anime adaptation of the Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse novels had began streaming a 150-second promotional video. The anime series will premier on July 1st.
Total Eclipse is set in the same world as Alternative, at Alaska's Yukon base, test site 18, where first-class staff from all over the world regardless of country gather to work on new Tactical Surface Fighters.
Yūya Bridges (CV: Daisuke Ono) is a Japanese-American main pilot of the Argos Test Team for "XFJ Project," the initiative that is developing the newest Tactical Surface Fighter. Yui Takamura (Mai Nakahara) is the head of development for the project from the Japanese Empire's side.
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse anime will be directed by Takayuki Inagaki (Desert Punk, Rosario + Vampire) at the studios ixtl x Satelight, and character designs by Yumiko Hara (Baby Princess 3D Paradise 0 [Love]). Minami Kuribayashi, GRANRODEO, and ayami will contribute the music and songs for the project.
At the same day it premiers in Japan, Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse will premier at Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 1st.
