One Piece Manga — 100 Million Copies Sold Since 2008

Considered as the most successful manga in Japan, pirate adventure manga One Piece had recently reached over 100 million copies sold!
Market research firm Oricon had reported that One Piece Volume 66: “The Path Towards the Sun” had sold which was released on May 2, sold 2,275,453 copies. It become the top-selling comic of the week and the fifth consecutive manga volume to sell over 2 million copies in its first week.
After last week's sales, Oricon reported that over 100 million copies of One Piece manga volumes have been sold in four years. It is now considered as the first series in any book category to break 100 million sales since the company began publishing its ranking charts in April 2008.
