Takeru Sato Visited Taiwan, Promotes “Rurouni Kenshin” Film

Actor Takeru Sato visits Taiwan for the first time this December 7th, to promote the live-action film adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin manga and anime. The movie will have a local screening starting December 7th.
Sato was welcomed by an estimated 250 fans at the airport, with some even followed his car. A few of his drama series, including “Q10” and “Bloody Monday”, aired locally in Taiwan.
During the press conference, Sato was asked, “If Atsuko Maeda and Satomi Ishihara were about to drown, which one of them you would help?” He responded with a smile, “I would save both of them, and let myself die.”
It debuted at the top of Japan Box Office when it premiered in Japan on August 25th. It also has been seen in theaters more than 2 million times, earning over $36.7 million in Japan, $25 million internationally! And, a sequel is also in the planning stages.
