The official Pokemon YouTube channel started streaming a promotional video confirming a new Eevee evolution for the latest installments of the Pokemon game franchise, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. It will be called SYLVEON.
Meet Sylveon, a newly discovered evolution of Eevee! Eevee first appeared in the original Pokémon video games,Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. Experienced Pokémon Trainers know that Eevee can evolve into seven different types, and now a new Eevee evolution with a different type has been revealed! What type is Sylveon? You'll have to wait to find out!
Eevee is one of the original Pokemon roster that started back in Pokemon Red and Blue, and since then, it appeared in concluding generations, gaining newly "discovered" evolutions. It can evolve using Water (Vaporeon), Thunder (Jolteon) or Fire Stones (Flareon), having a high friendship during the day (Espeon) or night (Umbreon), or leveling up near Moss (Leafeon) or Ice Rock (Glaceon).
Along with Sylveon, there are six known Pokemons for Generation VI: the three starters Pokemons — Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie — and this installment's Legendaries — Xerneas and Yveltal. Pokemon X & Pokemon Y will be available for the Nintendo 3DS, and are scheduled to be released worldwide this October.
